<h2>Electric Vehicle (EV) and Battery Information for
Vehicle Dismantlers</h2>
<p>The information on Recycle My Battery is intended for
vehicle dismantlers who may be involved with towing,
hauling and/or recycling of electric vehicles (EVs) at
the end of their useful life. Handling of lithium-ion
vehicle batteries, SLI batteries, or auxiliary batteries
may also be part of their responsibilities.</p>
<p><b>NOTE: Dealership Service Departments</b> (during
normal vehicle service operations), please refer to
current service information manuals and bulletins for
information including the return of low, intermediate
and high voltage (LV/IV/HV) batteries.</p>
<p>Responsible parties MUST comply with all federal,
state/provincial, and local laws and regulations related
to management of low voltage (LV)/intermediate voltage
(IV)/high voltage (HV) batteries. State and/or local
laws can be more stringent than federal or national
regulations.</p>
<p>This website does not cover the recycling process for
lead-acid starter batteries (12 Volts). These batteries
have established collection and recycling processes.</p>
